Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a QA Test Engineer to develop and execute automated and performance tests for our software products. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to ensure quality and alignment with requirements.

You will design end-to-end automated tests, report issues, and explore tools to enhance testing capabilities, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Quality Engineering or software testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with automated testing and performance testing.
• Proven experience testing backend services and API-level testing.
• Programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or PHP with willingness to learn Java.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and performance tests for projects.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations to plan testing.
• Plan and execute automated tests with QA/Testing staff and leads.
• Identify root causes, report issues, and document results.
• Research and adopt cost-effective tools to enhance testing capabilities.
