Job summary

DFYNE UK is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to define quality engineering across the organisation. You will build test infrastructure, automation coverage and quality gates with the team, protecting systems involved in payouts, refunds, inventory and shipping labels.

Reporting to the Head of Development, you will own CI quality gates, create end-to-end test coverage, design secure test data strategies and collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations to ensure quality requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA Automation, SDET or quality-focused software engineering.
• Strong TypeScript or Python development experience.
• Deep integration testing using real dependencies including databases, queues and simulated third-party services.
• Strong Playwright, Cypress or equivalent end-to-end testing experience.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD quality gates, ideally using GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integration test infrastructure that runs against real databases and realistic service environments.
• Design and implement automated regression coverage across business-critical workflows.
• Own CI quality gates and contribute to release readiness processes.
• Develop end-to-end testing coverage for revenue-critical customer journeys.
• Create and maintain realistic and secure test data strategies.
• Work closely with engineers to identify and prevent quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Improve test reliability, execution speed and developer adoption.
• Support incident investigations by identifying testing gaps and opportunities for preventative coverage.
• Contribute to engineering standards, software quality practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and delivered.
