Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to design and deliver scalable test automation for a high-performance Payments system. You will collaborate within an agile team, drive data-driven improvements, and engage in peer code reviews across a global organization.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation, modern programming practices, and working with stakeholders to define test requirements and strategies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python, Playwright/Selenium, Pytest, and SQL in test automation.
• Experience coordinating multiple automation deliveries with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in Python development, debugging, and data querying with SQL in a large corporate environment.
• Hands-on experience with FAST API, Web UI, API, and Database automation.
• Experience with CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Ability to own deliverables and meet timelines.
• Strong understanding of HTTP and REST APIs.
• Experience automating large CSV, JSON, and XML files.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable test automation frameworks for a complex, high-performance Payments system.
• Architect and build test automation solutions and reference services using Java to validate software functionality and performance.
• Apply test automation frameworks intelligently to enhance and execute the overall test landscape.
• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring software code meets design constraints.
• Gather, analyze, and visualize large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software systems.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Collaborate as part of a global team and conduct detailed peer code reviews.
