Job summary

Ncounter in London is seeking an experienced Quant Developer to join a high‑performance trading technology team. You will work alongside quantitative researchers to design and implement software that underpins research, analytics and live trading, emphasizing engineering quality, performance and collaboration.

You will help create tools and workflows for researchers to move quickly from ideas to production, owning the software lifecycle from design to deployment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial Python development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or Quantitative Finance.
• Experience designing robust, scalable software for data-intensive workloads.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Quant Researchers to build software supporting research and trading.
• Develop scalable Python applications and workflows.
• Design high-performance solutions for processing and analysing large datasets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build reusable software components.
• Take ownership from design through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Support business-critical systems within a modern engineering environment.
