Job summary

Trafigura is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join the Gas, Power & Renewables (GPR) Technology team in the UK. You will own the full development lifecycle, building risk solutions for the Power and Gas trading desk on Beacon Platform and delivering production-quality solutions.

You will work directly with traders and quants, integrating models and data sources in a fast-paced trading environment and contributing to the evolution of the GPR technology stack.

Qualifications

Strong Python development skills.
2+ years of hands-on development on Beacon Platform, Quarts, or Athena; SecDB experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of quantitative modelling concepts; able to integrate models.
Kafka experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain risk and analytics solutions for the Power and Gas desk using Python on top of Beacon Platform.
Integrate quantitative models into Beacon and connect them to market data sources.
Work in a fast-paced trading environment with direct feedback.
Engage with traders, quants, analysts, and deals desk to gather requirements and present solutions.
Collaborate with Beacon engineers to ensure code quality and consistency.
Contribute to the evolution of the GPR technology stack.
