A Day In The Life…

Reporting to our Lead Software Engineer, you will join a small, productive team working on our Python platform, focusing on internal tooling, new features, and industry best practices. You will develop web applications for e-commerce, including backend APIs for our website, internal tools, and billing systems. The role offers learning opportunities, a structured career path, and flexibility with remote work.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Leading and mentoring junior developers, enforcing best practices, and ensuring code quality.
2. Participating in daily stand-ups and peer reviews.
3. Developing scalable Python microservices for AWS.
4. Collaborating on technical solutions with the tech lead.
5. Sharing best practices to improve team and code quality.
6. Communicating blockers and technical limitations effectively.

What You Need…

• Extensive experience with Python and backend technologies.
• Strong understanding of Python ecosystem and successful project delivery.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex challenges independently.
• Experience building scalable backend systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages and paradigms.
• Self-motivated, adaptable to fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Additional experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, AWS services, Terraform, etc. is advantageous.
