Senior Python Engineer - PM Tools - Leading Global Hedge Fund

Summary

One of the world's most prestigious hedge funds is seeking an experienced and energetic backend engineer to join a new team pioneering sophisticated technology and innovative investment strategies for their top-performing Portfolio Managers.

This is a hands-on role where you will help build a Python-based platform to integrate datasets, analytics/pricing systems, and tech platforms across the firm. You will also deploy the platform to PMs, building and maintaining robust, high-performance APIs and services to support trading, risk management, tech analysis, and research.

Successful candidates will likely have front-office experience in a similar role working with PMs, demonstrating adaptability to steep learning curves and strong communication skills with both business and technology teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience, including 4+ years of Python
• Solid experience in building products and iterating rapidly based on user feedback
• Good eye for API design, focused on scalability and reliability
• Familiarity with equity and/or fixed income products, particularly pricing and analytics

Nice to Have

• Front-office hedge fund experience
• Experience with data-driven approaches
