Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within Investment Banking Data Products to design and deliver data collection, storage, access, and analytics solutions that are secure, scalable, and reliable.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data services (AWS Glue…), analytics platforms and Python.
• Experience across the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, storage, and access.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with joins and aggregations; working knowledge of NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud-based development, deployment, and scale.
• Familiar with SDLC tools: CI/CD, testing, and performance monitoring.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.
• Understanding of data sensitivity, resiliency and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop workflows and extract, load, and transform pipelines using Python and Databricks.
• Review controls to ensure protection of enterprise data across the data lifecycle.
• Implement data security using entitlements frameworks.
• Update data models (logical and physical) based on evolving business needs.
• Apply SQL expertise with complex joins and aggregations; NoSQL data access patterns.
• Adopt AI-assisted practices to improve lifecycle quality, testing, and traceability.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity.
• Utilize SDLC tooling to enhance automation and delivery.
