Job summary

Admiral Money in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to contribute to diverse product teams and champion technical excellence. You’ll build robust, scalable services and deepen understanding of our products and their technical implementation.

As part of an Agile team, you will write clean code, drive testing, and collaborate with product owners, architects, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience with Python.
• Experience with AWS and cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a Scrum/Agile team.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
• Understanding of Secure Software Development practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, idiomatic, and maintainable code that aligns to business requirements.
• Ensure all work is covered by suitable unit tests.
• Proactive contribution to technical excellence through peer reviews and development of best practices.
• Ensure a suitable level of documentation is maintained.
• Effective contribution to team activities including Scrum Events.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects and other stakeholders.
• Support the growth of the discipline through coaching and mentoring.
