Job summary

You will design and develop scalable Python applications, build data pipelines for millions of daily transactions, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience in professional settings.
• Experience in investment banking, capital markets or financial services.
• Experience building high-volume data processing solutions.
• Knowledge of regulatory reporting systems and transaction data flows.
• API/web application development using Flask or similar frameworks.
• Advanced SQL and database development, ideally Oracle.
• Data analysis and manipulation using Pandas.
• Experience with reconciliation, validation or control frameworks.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and release management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement with business/regulatory teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade Python applications for regulatory reporting and compliance functions.
• Translate regulatory requirements with Business Analysts and Compliance into technical solutions.
• Build scalable data processing pipelines for millions of daily transactions.
• Perform data analysis, investigations and root-cause assessments of reporting breaches.
• Develop reconciliation and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity.
• Support remediation via historical replay and data reconstruction capabilities.
• Drive performance, reliability and auditability improvements across systems.
• Manage software releases through full development lifecycle (planning, testing, deployment, support).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on regulatory change programmes and platform enhancements.
