Jobs2Web in London is seeking a Senior Python Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and cloud-native solutions. You will own projects and collaborate with infra, data and AI teams from day one.

The role requires strong Python, AWS/GCP, serverless experience, and AI model API familiarity, with a hybrid working pattern from our London office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience in production-grade applications.
• Strong proficiency with AWS and GCP at scale.
• Deep expertise in serverless patterns (AWS Lambda, S3).
• Hands-on experience with AI language models via APIs (OpenAI, Claude).
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.

The Role

This is a pivotal engineering role within our core product team. You'll design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and cloud-native solutions, working closely with our infrastructure, data, and AI teams. You'll have genuine ownership of your work and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

All of the following are mandatory for this role:

• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, with a strong track record delivering production-grade applications
• Strong proficiency in both Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deploying and managing cloud infrastructure at scale
• Deep expertise in serverless architecture, specifically AWS Lambda and S3 storage, including design patterns, performance optimisation, and cost management
• Practical experience working with AI large language models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT or Anthropic's Claude, whether through API integration, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted product development
• A university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline
