TrueNorth® is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our energy trading platform in London on a hybrid basis. You’ll build scalable backend services for market data, pricing, risk and P&L, collaborating with traders and analysts in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring energy trading or commodities experience, strong Python skills, and a track record with APIs, microservices and cloud infrastructure. This role sits Inside IR35.

Formación

• Previous energy/commodities/financial trading experience required.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with APIs, microservices and data-intensive systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Understanding of market data or trading lifecycle.
• Experience with ETRM platforms such as Endur, Allegro or RightAngle would be beneficial.

Job Title: Senior Python Developer – Energy Trading

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Location: London – Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to work on business-critical applications within the energy trading and commodities sector.

Previous experience within energy trading or commodities is essential.

You will develop and enhance backend systems supporting market data, trade capture, pricing, risk and P&L. You will work closely with traders, analysts and other technology specialists in a fast-paced trading environment.
