Senior Python Software Engineer – London

A Senior Python Engineer is required for an exciting and innovative software sports betting company based in London. The successful candidate will work closely with quantitative researchers and alongside other talented engineers to build and support systematic trading models. You will join a tight-knit team of research mathematicians, computer scientists, and trading analysts at the top of their fields. The current team includes one developer with over 10 years of experience, specializing in Python backend development. The team is expected to grow in 2025.

1. 5+ years’ experience in a software development role, with Python experience and a track record of building robust, high-quality solutions.
2. 1+ year in a leadership position, with a history of guiding teams and projects successfully.
3. Experience designing and maintaining technical solutions that address complex business challenges pragmatically.
4. Hands-on approach: actively solving problems and contributing to delivery.
5. Lead architecture decisions aligned with company standards, ensuring clarity across the team.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, quants, and traders—to improve system effectiveness focusing on flexibility, speed, and accuracy.
