Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location:

Remote - 2 days a month in Birmingham

Salary:

£60,000 to £80,000 depending on experience

About the Company:

This company specializes in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Training Services. They have secured an additional $525,000 in funding to accelerate growth and have worked with brands like GymShark, Royal Bank of Scotland, Snowflake, and SKY. This is a new position created due to growth, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Lead the engineering team in technical design discussions.
2. Collaborate closely with the CTO and Product team to design solutions for critical business problems.
3. Create interactive content, games, and gamification services within the Data industry.
4. Work primarily with JavaScript, Vue, and some Python.
5. Remote work with 2 days per month on-site in Birmingham (usually the first Thursday and Friday).

Candidate Profile:

1. Proven software developer with experience in commercial environments.
2. Strong skills in JavaScript, Vue/React, and Python.
3. Beneficial to have AWS background, NoSQL, and MongoDB experience.
4. Experience working in start-ups or rapidly growing organizations is advantageous.
5. Ability to commute to Birmingham 2 days per month.
