Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a Senior Engineer focused on Python and containerization to engineer automated security solutions for internal platforms and streamline the SDLC for developers. You will own container security tooling, work across teams, and drive secure, scalable deployments in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires deep container experience, programming in Python/Java, and strong collaboration skills within a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating Container Image Scanning platforms and tooling.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker, Podman, OpenShift).
• Expertise in Python or Java and related tooling (Git, Maven, IDEs, Jenkins, Bitbucket).
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, architect, build and enhance Container Security tools and platforms for scalable use across Citi.
• Own solutions that operate and perform at scale across the organisation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and partner teams across time zones.
