Qualifications

• Senior IC with strong CS fundamentals and broad software engineering experience.
• Proven impact delivering backend services at scale.
• Experience shipping customer-facing features end-to-end.
• Willingness to work in a startup-urgency environment.

Responsibilities

• Ship high profile customer-facing backend services regularly; own design, build and release end-to-end.
• Maximise reuse of Tesco platforms; integrate with API teams.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture for scalable, secure architecture.
• Move at pace: unblock delivery, simplify complex problems, and maintain quality through automated testing and observability.
• Establish repeatable CI/CD, test-data, and environment practices to ship reliably at pace.
• Work daily with front end and data science engineers to ship end-to-end customer outcomes; full-stack experience a big plus.
