Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to build production software with a focus on AI-enabled capabilities. You will develop Python services, APIs, and microservices, and work across the full SDLC in a multi-cloud environment.

You will implement LLM-based workflows, model gateways, and retrieval-augmented generation components, while ensuring secure, observable, and scalable solutions in enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience building backend services.
• Strong database and SQL proficiency with API layer experience.
• Experience delivering LLM-based features in software systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, containers, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver software through full SDLC from requirements to production support.
• Write Python code with unit and integration tests across layers.
• Implement LLM-driven workflows including prompting and orchestration.
• Build and maintain inference-time integrations and model gateways.
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation components where applicable.
• Build REST and gRPC endpoints with authentication and error handling.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Terraform-based IaC.
• Improve observability with logs, metrics, traces, and dashboards.
