Job summary

Avtrade is seeking a Purchasing professional to support the Purchasing Team Leader in ensuring smooth and timely operation of daily purchasing activities within an aviation components environment.

You will liaise with suppliers, manage stock and non-stock purchases, and help maintain optimal inventory levels while upholding company procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have purchasing experience in aircraft components or MRO/trading environments.
• Up to 2 years experience in stocking aircraft component inventory.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft components, certifications and airworthiness rules.
• Good understanding of IPCs, alternate part numbers and aircraft effectivity.
• At least 1 year experience closing exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Assist Purchasing Team Leader in delivering timely daily purchasing operations.
• Coordinate daily activity to prioritise tasks and meet business requirements.
• Purchase inventory for stock and specific customer needs.
• Review and purchase non-stock items and commercial buys, within standing orders.
• Utilise pooling solutions to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Function:

To assist the Purchasing Team Leader in ensuring smooth, efficient and timely operation
of all daily delivery aspects of the Purchasing function. To ensure that all processes are
followed and purchases are handled in accordance with company procedures and meet
all business requirements. Liaise with suppliers and deliver a high-quality service level,
ensuring on time deliveries. Develop Avtrade/Supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• To support the Purchasing Team Leader in ensuring team delivery of high
  quality service levels to all Avtrade customers and internal department
• Coordinate Purchasing Teams daily activity, including time management to ensure
  all tasks are prioritised appropriately
• Purchase inventory for stock and specific customer requirements
• Assist with the review and purchase of non stock items & commercial buys, both on standing
  orders and for specific requirements
• Utilise Avtrade Pooling solutions, maintaining optimum inventory levels to support Avtrade
  business

Requirements (Must have)

• Experience in an aircraft component, MRO or trading environment essential.
• Up to 2 years experience of purchasing aircraft component inventory for stock essential
• Excellent knowledge of aircraft components with awareness of component conditions, certification and airworthiness regulations
• Good understanding of IPC's, alternative part numbers and aircraft effectivity
• 1 year experience closing exchanges essential
