Flow Student, the student accommodation platform of MCR Property Group, is recruiting a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk in Manchester. You will own end-to-end purchase ledger across multiple sites, manage the PO process, code and approve invoices, and ensure timely payments. The role supports VAT/CIS and a move to Sage Intacct within a growing finance team.

You will lead the Ledger Clerk, ensure robust controls, and contribute to process design and system onboarding for acquired sites.

Qualifications

• Proven senior AP experience in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
• Experience across multiple companies or sites in purchase ledger.
• Proficient in purchase orders, invoice matching, coding and approvals.
• Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution experience.
• Experience preparing payment runs and supplier set-up with controls.
• VAT knowledge; CIS experience advantageous.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, StarRez or similar cloud accounting system desirable.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end purchase ledger across multiple sites/companies.
• Oversee Purchase Ledger Clerk work and liaise with site teams.
• Review invoice coding and approvals for accuracy.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries promptly.
• Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs for approval.
• Set up new suppliers and verify bank details to controls.
• Assist with VAT and CIS for refurbishments where relevant.
• Support move to Sage Intacct and onboarding of new sites.
• Provide broader finance team support as needed.
