Job summary

Adecco is partnering with a London Borough Council to recruit a Senior Financial Reporting Manager who will lead statutory financial reporting, audit management and technical accounting guidance within a large public sector finance function.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee statutory accounts, manage external and internal audits, develop the finance team and drive improvements in governance, controls and reporting processes.

Qualifications

• CCAB-qualified accountant with substantial local government finance experience.
• Experience in statutory accounts and external/internal audits.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge including VAT and public sector tax.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of statutory accounts, Group Accounts and Whole of Government Accounts.
• Manage year-end close and external audit activity.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and VAT expertise to senior leadership.
