Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Procurement Officer for a public sector client, based in Hertford with hybrid working and 1-2 onsite days per month. You will manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensure value for money and compliance with regulations, and support stakeholders across the organisation.

The role emphasises supplier relationship management, tender preparation and bid evaluation, risk mitigation, and delivery of cost savings.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing procurement processes within the public sector or similar.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance.
• Ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant qualifications in procurement or supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes with regulatory compliance.
• Provide advice and guidance on procurement policies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to secure value for money.
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate supplier bids.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance and cost savings.
