Job summary

The Learned Society of Wales is seeking an experienced Senior Public Policy Officer to coordinate policy advice and public affairs work. The role focuses on delivering independent policy guidance and facilitating knowledge exchange, with responsibility for the Society’s Welsh language offer and bilingual working.

The position is 0.8FTE on a fixed-term basis for one year, pro-rata salary range £33,662–£39,559, and offers flexible working within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in supporting the development of evidence-led policy advice.
• Strong understanding of the Welsh political system and how an independent charity may operate within it.
• Experience communicating policy advice through media, meetings with politicians, or social media.
