Connect2Hackney is seeking a skilled Consultation and Engagement Lead to join the Council’s Communications and Engagement team on a temporary basis. The role focuses on delivering high-level expertise, leading key consultation projects, and ensuring residents have a direct voice in Council decisions.

The post requires experience with complex public consultations, political sensitivity, and the ability to work independently from day one. Strong communication with diverse communities is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex public consultations and engagement projects.
• Experience working with local authorities or public sector bodies.
• Strong understanding of statutory consultation requirements and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning and execution of inclusive public consultation and engagement activities across Council services.
• Ensure all consultation processes meet statutory duties and can withstand legal challenge.
• Advise senior officers and elected Members on engagement strategies for sensitive local issues.
