A leading mental health service organization in London is seeking a Senior Psychosocial Therapist Support Worker to support a demanding client group of personality disordered offenders. The role involves crisis response, group facilitation, and working closely with nursing and psychology teams. The position involves working with a demanding client group of personality disordered offenders. You will be expected to attend regular staff support, reflective practice, and individual supervision sessions.
You must be able to respond physically and confidently to crises, including delivering first aid or employing de-escalation techniques, which you will be trained in during your induction.
You will work under supervision and guidance from the nursing and psychology teams to implement care, maintaining the dignity, privacy, and respect of offenders diagnosed with Personality Disorder.
The Senior Psychosocial Therapist Support Worker role includes supporting nurses by acting as a security nurse, responding to emergencies on a rotational basis, facilitating enhanced observations, escorting patients for appointments or leave, and supporting psychologists through group facilitation, 1:1 therapy, mentoring, and assisting with HCR-20 assessments.
