Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a Senior Practitioner Psychologist for its Staff Wellbeing and Support Service in North Wales. The role provides compassionate, trauma-informed support to staff, with opportunities to deliver tailored brief psychological interventions and supervise others.

The post involves assessments, formulation, intervention, training, and contributing to service development across the BCUHB footprint.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist is essential.
• Honours Degree in Psychology is essential.
• Significant experience as a qualified Practitioner Psychologist.
• Experience in teaching, training and supervision is required.
• Desirable: ability to speak Welsh and trauma-focused training (EMDR or TF-CBT).

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive assessments and formulate and deliver interventions.
• Provide trauma-informed, trauma-focused support where needed.
• Supervise and train staff; contribute to service development.
• Promote psychological thinking and wellbeing across the Health Board.
• Engage in clinical governance, audit and research as part of professional duties.
