Oxfordshire Talking Therapies (OTT) are offering an opportunity for an experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to take the next step in their career and into a supervisory role. We would also welcome applications from existing Senior PWP's who may want to develop further in a supportive and diverse team. We will support you to develop your leadership skills to support your staff in both clinical supervision and line management.
OTT is a nationally recognized, high-performing and innovative service supporting adults to manage their common mental health difficulties, such as anxiety/depression. We are based in the city of Oxford, surrounded by Oxfordshire's stunning countryside.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Oxford Health: a large and innovative NHS Foundation trust, with a strong track record for supporting the development of psychological therapy services. The Trust has two Talking Therapy services, a range of specialist psychological therapy services and employs over 500 psychological therapists and hosts the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training and Research and the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre.
The service has around 200 staff including Psychological Therapists, PWPs and staff from our partnership organisations. A team of clinical supervisors and managers support staff to deliver the service effectively and safely.
This role involves facilitating individual case management supervision of PWPs to support in their development and learning, delivering clinical skills supervision and line managing trainee and/or qualified PWPs.
As a SPWP you will:
In this role, your main responsibilities will be to carry out screening calls and deliver low intensity intervention, offer line management and Case Management Supervision to other trainee and qualified PWPs, focus on the quality of interventions ensuring adherence to the evidence base, to stay up to date with clinical and policy changes and support others to do the same and to contribute to the development of the service.

Qualified PWPs are expected to comply with the national requirement effective from 10th June 2022, for PWP registration with the British Psychological Society (BPS) or the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Registration must be maintained annually, at the practitioners expense. Please ensure you complete the section within this application form asking for your PIN. If you are awaiting confirmation of registration, please provide evidence of your submission for registration. Successful candidates who have not completed the approval process will be required to practice at a training grade (Band 4), and will be paid accordingly, until such time as the registration is confirmed.
