Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

We are seeking applications from a highly motivated individual, to join our leadership team as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established NHS Talking Therapies service and will contribute to a stepped care model of service delivery for people experiencing anxiety disorders and depression.

This exciting opportunity will enable you to make a real difference to the lives of local people through leadership of the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner workforce and delivery of evidence-based interventions. You will be based centrally in our main office and may provide clinics across a number of community settings, so a driving license and ability to travel is essential. This is not a remote post.

As part of the role, you will provide line management, clinical skills and caseload management supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, therefore, previous experience of leadership and/or clinically supervising others is required. The successful candidate will have undertaken and completed PWP Clinical Supervision training with a known training provider.

You will work alongside the service team leads and clinical lead to ensure clinically safe and effective delivery of evidence based psychological treatments.

The successful candidate will have a recognised PWP qualification, with at least one year's post-qualification experience. Current registration with the BABCP or BPS is also required.

Main duties of the job
  • Offering case management to PWPs
  • Offering line management supervision meetings and completing appraisals
  • Offering clinical skills supervision groups
  • Attend senior service meetings
  • Offer 1 day of patient facing work either through face to face, telephone, online or group treatment modalities
  • Offer evidence based low intensity psychological interventions and assessment
  • Complete administrative tasks including session write up, onward referral, signposting, risk management and safeguarding reporting

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • A related degree, e.g. Psychology and IAPT Low intensity worker/ psychological wellbeing practitioner qualification (dip/cert PWP).
  • BABCP accredited PWP (or other relevant provider) and or IAPT trained Supervisor.
