Job description

Job summary

The Wellbeing Service is a Talking Therapy Service, providing primary care assessment, advice, and psychological interventions to people in Suffolk aged 16 and above. The service primarily caters to those seeking support for mild to moderate mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression.

The service is delivered through a partnership between Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT). We adopt a bio-psycho-social model, offering psychological, employment, and social interventions across the county. Treatments are mainly delivered via telephone, online, webinars, and face-to-face sessions.

We seek excellent communicators and self-motivated individuals committed to high standards of care. The role involves providing regular case management supervision and clinical skills training (group) to qualified and trainee PWPs, ensuring quality at Step 2 and supporting ongoing clinical development.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity for a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner with at least 2 years post-qualification experience, passionate about the Step 2 model, to develop their career within our service.

Our busy, expanding service aims to work more with clients with long-term physical health conditions alongside common mental health issues. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Suffolk-based offices.

You will assist in developing the low-intensity part of the service and help achieve key performance indicators. The role includes managing a small caseload and delivering clinical interventions for up to one day per week.

You should demonstrate experience in high-volume, evidence-based guided self-help via telephone and other delivery methods, and have leadership abilities in challenging environments.

Working from home is available as part of our hybrid model, with your base in Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich, requiring attendance at the office twice weekly.

Two roles are available: one permanent and one 12-month fixed-term.
