A leading mental health service provider in Grimsby is seeking a Senior Psychological Therapist to enhance the support for clients with complex needs. The role includes providing specialist psychological assessments and implementing therapy plans. Candidates should have at least two years of experience with CBT and EMDR and relevant accreditation. This position is vital for increasing the psychological services offered to the community.
The Community Mental Health Team are excited to announce the position ofa Senior Psychological Therapist to enhance thesupport they provide and to offer alternative psychological interventions toservice users presenting with complex needs or severe and enduring mentalillness. The successful candidate will be able to provide advice, guidance andclinical supervision to members of the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)working towards individual formulations for our service users. This is a vitalrole with fulfilling our aim to increase the psychological offer across theCommunity Mental Health Team.

To becompassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families andpromote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health and anyassociated disabilities.
To provideadvice, guidance and clinical supervision to members of the Community MentalHealth Team (CMHT).
To supportthe leadership team with the development of the Psychological Therapiesstrategy and provide appropriate continued professional development to CMHTstaff.
Tobe pro-active in continual service improvement within own area.

MAIN DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1 Providesspecialist psychological assessment of clients with complex conditions based onthe appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety ofsources.
1.2 Formulatesplans for specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients mentalhealth conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework andevidence-based practice. Negotiates theimplementation of such plans with clients and/or their carers.
1.3 Implementsa range of specialist psychological therapies for individual clients, carers,families and groups, adjusting and refining psychological formulations asrequired.
1.4 Evaluatestherapy options and makes decisions about treatment.
1.5 Responsiblefor recognising the potential for, or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect,including poor clinical practice, reporting all such concerns and taking allreasonable steps to protect the client.Responsible for identifying and reporting concerns regarding thesafeguarding of children who may be at risk.
1.6 Undertakesrisk assessment and risk management for individual clients and providesspecialist advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of riskassessment and risk management.
1.7 Liaisesregularly with other professionals involved with the clients care, ensuringany concerns regarding welfare or risk to self or others is passed on in atimely manner.
1.8 Providesspecialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other staffcontributing directly to clients diagnosis, formulation and intervention plan.
1.9 Provideclinical supervision and support to other trained professionals.
1.10 Supportwith the development of non-qualified psychological professionals and trainees,which may include supervision, teaching or support with their continuedprofessional development. This may alsoinclude providing placements for local universities if deemed appropriate.
1.11 Participatein working groups across the organisation, when agreed with line manager,providing a psychological perspective and inputting on clinical pathways whenappropriate.
1.12 Managingpsychological therapy related referrals into the affiliated service, assessingfor suitability and leading on allocations where appropriate.
1.13 Maintainingprofessional registrations and accredited status where required, meeting theneeds for continued professional development.
1.14 Toparticipate in formal research, as and when required.
