Senior Proposals Manager

Prestigious international law firm based in stunning offices in the City are looking to hire a Senior Proposals Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.


  • Salary to £90,000
  • 12-month fixed-term contract
  • Hybrid working (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

Reporting to the Director of Brand, Clients & Markets, the Senior Proposals Manager is responsible for leading the pitch and proposals function. This role is at the forefront of the firm’s marketing and sales efforts. As such, proposal support is a core service delivered by the Brand, Clients & Markets function to the business.

Senior Proposals Manager Key Responsibilities:


  • Promoting, developing, and driving engagement with the firm's new recommended proposal methodology
  • Working with the Heads of Business/Client Development and the Learning & Development team to lead the development and delivery of bid training for earners
  • Interpreting feedback from post-pitch reviews and using intelligence to inform continuous improvement
  • Being the central point of contact and champion for all competitive pitches
  • Supporting the team in working alongside the relevant BD Manager and/or the lawyer allocated to the proposal, as well as other stakeholders, to co-ordinate the delivery of the documentation with the Creative Services team
  • Act as a mentor and coach, providing guidance on best practices, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management to enhance the team's effectiveness
  • Oversee workload distribution, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and that the team is equipped to handle peak periods


Senior Proposals Manager Skills & Requirements:


  • Experienced in the pitch process as well as the strategic context in which the firm operates
  • Able to influence senior stakeholders in driving through change, and manage projects in a rigorous and disciplined fashion
  • Evidence project managing and advising on major panel tenders
  • A relevant post-graduate management or marketing qualification such as an MBA, CIM or equivalent would be advantageous
