Senior Proportional Treaty Technician

We have a unique opportunity to join an established global broker within a small, skilled team.

Responsibilities
  1. Technical: You will have your own technical case load.
  2. Work independently to handle all aspects of proportional accounting, including creating, calculating, and processing portfolio and profit commissions on behalf of clients when required.
  3. Work with the team to manage wider team case load as required, especially during busy periods.
  4. Take lead for your own accounts, responding to queries and liaising across business departments to actively resolve accounts in a timely manner.
Projects & Change Management
  1. Contribute as a source of strong technical knowledge on ad hoc and continuous improvement projects.
  2. Assist with IT platform upgrade activities on behalf of the Operations team as required.
  3. Assist and inform implementation work on process improvement initiatives.
Managing Information

You will be happy to:

  1. Coach and develop the technical skills of team members.
  2. Deliver learning events as and when required on areas of specialist knowledge.
Quality Assurance

You will need:

  1. An in-depth knowledge of Treaty contracts.
  2. A strong understanding of Proportional Treaty insurance and methods of accounting used in this area.
  3. The ability to identify, analyze and act upon key information.
  4. Expert knowledge of relevant computer systems.
  5. A deep understanding of the link between your role and IBA.
  6. Strong knowledge of IBA Client, Underwriter, and Bureau functions and processes.
