THE FIRM

THE ROLE

A fantastic opportunity to join the Development & House Building Team based in Reading.

As a Senior Property Development Solicitor, your role will be to support the partners on transactional matters and manage your own caseload autonomously, with support available where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts.
  2. Undertaking due diligence and providing detailed reporting.
  3. Managing a caseload of development transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning, and construction matters.
  4. Handling secured acquisition and development finance transactions.
  5. Contributing to processes and documents required for plot sales.
  6. Identifying concerns and risks, and providing practical and commercial solutions.
  7. Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and third parties involved in transactions.
  8. Gaining an understanding of the planning system and its impact on development transactions.
  9. Participating in business development activities and cultivating relationships within the development community.

ABOUT YOU

Relevant development experience is essential along with a proven track record of working autonomously on complex transactions, with partner assistance available as required.

Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers in the development sector is crucial.

A willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities is required.

Flexible working is available, with attendance at the office twice a week.
