Senior Property Counter Fraud Lead

A bit about the job:

The UKGI Claims Counter Fraud Senior Lead is responsible for fraud prevention across UKGI Property Claims (Home and Commercial Property). This includes developing counter-fraud strategies, managing in-house fraud triage and investigations, and overseeing outsourced activities. The role involves strategic development and execution to make the Counter Fraud team a market leader, leveraging analytics and technology to improve detection and outcomes.

The role leads a team of approximately 40-50 colleagues and is responsible for expanding the Property Counter-Fraud team to meet business standards and goals, supporting overall indemnity targets, and enhancing customer experience. The role also emphasizes embedding a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Counter Fraud and operational experience, especially in Property/Claims, with strategic planning skills.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting diverse data sets.
  • Leadership skills aligned with Aviva Values, with experience in leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Understanding of risk management, operational risk frameworks, and controls.
