The Opportunity:

Everest Insurance seeks an experienced Casualty & Property Claims Adjuster for our Ireland Branch, reporting to the UK & Ireland claims team in London. The role involves handling Casualty and Property claims underwritten in Ireland, with reporting lines to the UK & Ireland Casualty Claims Manager. The position is based in Dublin.

Responsibilities include investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims, managing external experts, providing input to underwriters, and participating in meetings with clients and brokers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyzing complex coverage issues and preparing coverage letters
  • Investigating liability, damages, and costs
  • Managing outside experts and legal counsel
  • Preparing case summaries and reserve reports
  • Developing claim and resolution strategies
  • Negotiating and settling claims
  • Overseeing Third Party Administrators (TPAs)
  • Supporting policy construction, trend reporting, and risk assessments
  • Participating in reviews, audits, and meetings
  • Communicating with insureds, brokers, reinsurers, and underwriters
  • Attending client and industry meetings to foster relationships

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • Claims handling or legal experience proficiency
  • Experience with global insurance companies or brokers
  • Knowledge of London Market claims systems (e.g., ECF, IMR)
  • Understanding of casualty and property coverage
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Negotiation and investigative skills
