Are you looking for your next move to a senior role with the social care sector? Do you have a passion for young people who are homeless achieve their goals and ambitions? If so, Quarriers have a rare opportunity for you to join our Stopover services as a Senior Project Worker!

Your new opportunity

We are currently recruiting for full time Senior Project Worker to join our Quarriers Stopover service in Glasgow. The service provides support to young people aged 16-25 years who are homeless. This is a great time to join the team through a period of change and work with staff and the young people we support providing excellent support and care.

'The Promise' is that Scotland's children and young people will grow up loved, safe and respected. As a Senior Support Worker you will be expected to embrace this approach to the support you deliver. You will work closely with staff and the young people exploring opportunities for them within employment, education and community integration. Some of the young people we support have experienced severe trauma in their young lives and you will provide guidance and support to ensure they are safe and feel heard.

This is a permanent, full time role offering 39 hours per week.

What you will need to bring to the role

Previous experience working in a similar setting.
Compassion and kindness to support young people who are homeless.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
Good IT & communication skills.
