Senior Project Quantity Surveyor – Clean Energy Generation

Leading project developer in renewable energy assets throughout the UK is seeking a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor. The role involves supporting project delivery from development through construction and handover, focusing on high-value projects such as Energy Storage Assets (+100MW), H2 Ready Thermal Power Plants, and Green Hydrogen Electrolysis Assets. These projects entail installation of significant equipment, M&E, and civils activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in risk and value management, overseeing subcontractors, and ensuring quality. Backgrounds in M&E, Renewables, O&G, Thermal Power, or large-scale infrastructure (Data Centres, Civil Infra) are suitable.

Key requirements:

• Experience with various contract forms, especially NEC suite (ECC accreditation preferred but not essential)
• Experience in heavy Civils/M&E/Energy works in a main/principal contractor setting (preferred)
• Contract experience on projects exceeding £10m (desirable)

Key responsibilities:

• Manage change processes, risk, and early warning registers to minimize costs
• Prepare enquiry documents, review work scopes, negotiate contracts, and draft final documentation
• Administer contractor payments, assess costs, and manage disallowed costs
• Maintain cost reports, earned value analysis, and report to senior management
• Provide commercial support to site management
• Foster professional relationships

Location: Projects are throughout England, with offices in London.
