An exciting opportunity has arisen a highly motivated Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
The team delivers one of the largest infrastructure investments in North Lanarkshire and involves the development and construction of 21st-century learning, teaching and community facilities which will be at the heart of towns and communities for years to come. The programme supports the implementation of The Plan for North Lanarkshire.
In this role, you will be a key member of the Asset & Procurement Team supporting the delivery of the Town and Community Hub Programme and DBFM/PPP Contract Management.
You will ensure effective working between the Authority, Partners and other relevant bodies; monitor and report on individual projects and ensure contract compliance. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline), you will have significant knowledge and experience of working on multiple high-value contracts and project management skills with experience in procurement, contract and financial management and be familiar with Design & Build forms of contract.
It is also essential that you hold chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors i.e. MRICS.
To be a success in this role, you will remain calm under pressure, be an effective and clear communicator with excellent organisational and IT skills and have the ability to analyse data and produce relevant reports.
You must be able to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.
