Role and team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The team delivers one of the largest infrastructure investments in North Lanarkshire and involves the development and construction of 21st-century learning, teaching and community facilities which will be at the heart of towns and communities for years to come. The programme supports the implementation of The Plan for North Lanarkshire. In this role, you will be a key member of the Asset & Procurement Team supporting the delivery of the Town and Community Hub Programme and DBFM/PPP Contract Management.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective working between the Authority, Partners and other relevant bodies; monitor and report on individual projects and ensure contract compliance.
  • Support the delivery of the Town and Community Hub Programme and DBFM/PPP Contract Management.
  • Maintain contract and financial management across multiple high-value contracts; utilise design and build forms of contract.
  • Communicate clearly and coordinate with stakeholders; analyse data and produce relevant reports.
Qualifications and experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline).
  • Significant knowledge and experience of working on multiple high-value contracts and project management.
  • Experience in procurement, contract and financial management; familiarity with Design & Build forms of contract.
  • Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is essential.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, have strong organisational and IT skills, and analyse data to produce reports.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout North Lanarkshire.
