Mint Selection | B Corp is assisting a renowned Independent Power Producer to recruit a Senior Project Planner for UK Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will lead scheduling, cost control, and risk management across project lifecycles.

Experience in M&E project planning and strong stakeholder management are essential. This role offers hybrid working arrangements and exposure to high-profile renewable energy initiatives, supporting the energy transition.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project planning for M&E projects.
• Strong schedule coordination, cost forecasting, and earned value management.
• Solid SIMOPS understanding and contractor schedule validation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering renewable energy projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor full project lifecycles, reporting progress to senior leadership and project managers.
• Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, including developing “what-if” scenarios to mitigate project risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and validate contractor schedules.
• Analyse schedule and cost variances, ensure SIMOPS compliance, and recommend corrective actions to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Support progress reporting, baseline schedule development, and risk management processes.
• Contribute to lessons learned documentation and project closeout activities.

This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless project execution from inception through to completion, contributing directly to the clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
