Job summary

Coffey, a water infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking an experienced Planner to own and drive detailed project programmes within its Delivery Team across UK projects.

You will lead a small team of Planners, coach peers, monitor critical paths, manage risks, and prepare progress reports and tender programmes. The role requires a degree in Construction Management and a valid UK driving licence; prior NEC contract experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Project Planner within construction, engineering, or infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of risk management, change control, and earned value principles.
• Strong knowledge of project planning tools and techniques (e.g. Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Demonstrable experience working with NEC contracts and associated programme requirements.
• Degree qualification in Construction Management or similar.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team in accordance with Contract requirements ensuring methodology is consistently followed
• Ensure project plans capture the full project scope and resources are considered and loaded as required
• Pro-actively identify opportunities and risks in the plan and monitor the critical path and key milestones
• Lead the planning section at contract / progress review meetings
• Produce required project reports including identification of project risks and opportunities
• Support in producing tender programmes, with assistance from delivery managers & pre-construction team
