Job summary

Coffey is seeking a proactive Planner to own the project plan, drive delivery with the team and challenge delays. You will lead a small group of Planners, ensuring robust programmes and clear communication across the project lifecycle.

Applicants should have NEC contract knowledge, strong planning tool skills (Primavera P6/MS Project) and the ability to coordinate across design, procurement, construction and handover. A UK driving licence is preferred for site travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Project Planner in construction, engineering or infrastructure.
• Knowledge of risk management, change control and earned value principles.
• Strong knowledge of project planning tools and techniques (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Demonstrable experience with NEC contracts and programme requirements.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Confident communicator who can challenge teams professionally.
• Analytical with attention to detail and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust detailed project plans for the Delivery Team.
• Monitor critical path and milestones, advise on changes and risks.
• Lead planning standards and publish processes.
• Prepare integrated programmes covering design, procurement, construction and handover.
• Produce project reports highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Lead planning discussions at contract/progress review meetings.
