Senior Project Planner - Renewable Energy Infrastructure (UK-Based)
A fast-growing Independent Power Producer is seeking a Senior Project Planner to support the delivery of large-scale renewable energy infrastructure across the UK. With major capital investment secured and planning permission in place for a 7x scale-up, this business is on track to become a major player in the UK's energy transition.
You'll be instrumental in planning and coordinating nationally significant projects-including 100MW+ battery energy storage systems, hydrogen-ready thermal power plants, and green hydrogen electrolysis facilities. These projects involve high-value equipment, complex M&E packages, and civil engineering works, requiring expert planning and strategic oversight.
Your Role

  • Analyse tender documentation and develop detailed tender programmes.
  • Prepare and manage master and contract programmes across project lifecycles.
  • Evaluate construction methods, logistics, and resource requirements.
  • Develop procurement and information schedules to support delivery.
  • Identify risks and opportunities across planning phases and support issue resolution.
  • Track progress, forecast completion, and contribute to entitlement analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in planning roles within EPC, EPCM, or traditional contracting environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera, Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with renewable energy, hydrogen, or BESS projects.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of UK construction regulations and industry best practices.

Why This Role?

  • Join a pioneering IPP with secured investment and a clear path to scale.
  • Work on complex, high-impact infrastructure projects driving the UK's net zero future.
  • Be part of a collaborative, high-performing team with real industry influence.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
