Expanded are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Planner to work on one of our projects in Aylesbury. The Expanded Group provides total capability in the early construction phases of major projects, offering an end-to-end solution or bespoke services. Backed by a central technical design and engineering resource, we deliver a full range of techniques including piling, precast concrete, post-tensioning, and structures.
What will the role look like?
- Ensuring all programmes comply with project requirements and developing a logical sequence of events to adopt the most economical construction strategy.
- Carrying out pre-contract planning and work-winning processes to produce bid programmes and related time information for tender bids.
- Analyzing performance, advising the project team on impacts, and recommending improvements.
- Contributing to risks, opportunities, and commercial implications of tender bids.
- Presenting time-related material effectively using various techniques, ensuring high-quality submissions and presentations.
- Managing contracts for complex projects through independent processes and systems.
- Conducting forensic analysis of programme data and building effective client relationships.
- Applying knowledge of different contract types to align control measures with contract risks and optimize commercial opportunities.
- Developing and implementing advanced project management techniques for use on complex projects.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- CIOB Membership.
- Proficiency in modelling, 4D planning, Asta, and P6.
- Ability to analyze and utilize data for reporting and forecasting.
- Skills in identifying urgent and important tasks and assessing accuracy needs.
- Lateral thinking to identify trends/issues in production data.
- Leadership skills to lead project planning, resource management, and team development.
- Experience in developing business improvement strategies.
- Maintaining high-quality programme and related materials.
