We're looking for a Senior Project Planner to develop, manage and monitor complex and critical package of works within the Power sector. If you're passionate about delivering technical excellence, driving safety, and managing major infrastructure at scale, we want to hear from you.
You'll provide end-to-end planning leadership and coordination across a key section of this landmark project. From planning to handover, your impact will be visible in the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and maintain compliant project programmes aligned with the Project Business Plan.
- Develop efficient, collaborative construction strategies and logical sequencing.
- Monitor performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Lead planning across tender, design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain to coordinate timelines.
- Provide commercial insight on production and programme impacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams including commercial, design, and site teams.
- Report on progress, trends, labour efficiency, and mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement and process optimisation.
- Support team development through leadership, training, and mentoring.
- Proven track record of delivering major infrastructure projects (Power or Civils)
- Deep understanding of project delivery lifecycle – scope, schedule, cost, and quality
- Proven planning experience on substation or major infrastructure projects.
- Skilled in developing strategic programmes and planning solutions tailored to client needs.
- Strong understanding of planning processes, contract types, and commercial implications.
- Experience supporting tender bids with bid programmes and time-related data.
- Capable of identifying project risks and opportunities during pre-contract planning.
- Confident presenting programme strategies using various tools and visual methods.
- Contributes to procurement strategy and contract planning for complex projects.
- Proficient in forensic analysis of programme data and stakeholder coordination.
- Applies advanced construction methodologies to optimise planning systems.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar sector related
