Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Officer to support the delivery of the Connect to Work Programme-a voluntary, locally-led Supported Employment initiative launched under the UK Government's Get Britain Working strategy. The programme is designed to help people with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or complex barriers to employment to enter and sustain meaningful work. Croydon Council is the Accountable Body, managing the delivery across the five boroughs within the South London Partnership. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Programme Manager, external contractors, and borough partners to ensure the programme meets its objectives and delivers high-quality services. You will also play a vital role in performance monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and service integration.,

  • Support the Programme Manager in coordinating and delivering the Connect to Work Programme.
  • Manage discrete projects and provide project support across the SLP boroughs.
  • Monitor project progress, analyse performance data, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and service integration to improve referral pathways.
  • Represent the programme at strategic meetings and external events.
  • Support contract management and assurance visits with delivery partners.
  • Develop and present performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

    Proven experience in project and programme delivery within a local authority or public sector setting.
