Job Description:

CAHSS / School of Social & Political Science.

Fixed Term Contract - Temporary.

The Opportunity:

You will administer resources and manage financial assurance, in adherence to the awarding body requirements and University rules and regulations for the Wellcome Trust Discovery Award Project ‘After the Single Use’. You will work closely with the project team, and liaise with the School’s Research Programme Manager, colleagues in the Research Office, and international partners.

This post is fixed term from November 2024 until no later than 31 August 2029.

This post is part time for 21 hours per week. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (within the UK) and on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:
  • HNC/HND or equivalent level qualifications plus relevant work experience; OR broad experience through a combination of training and progressively demanding roles.
  • Previous experience supporting and developing research or other grants at post-award stage
  • Experience managing budgets of complex projects.
  • A commitment to accuracy and high attention to detail, especially in financial data management.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and maintain high performance under pressure and team-critical points.
