The Conservation Volunteers connects people and green spaces to deliver lasting outcomes for both.

About the role:

Every day TCV works across the UK to create healthier and happier communities for everyone - communities where our activities have a lasting impact on people's health, prospects and outdoor places.

Based at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, TCV is looking for an enthusiastic, confident & competent Senior Project Officer. We need someone who can lead this brand new & exciting project by recruiting volunteers, engaging local people & making positive, impactful gains for wildlife.

The role may involve working across a variety of green spaces, from orchards to ponds & wetlands to roof gardens & community growing spaces. You’ll plan & lead at least two (sometimes more) volunteering sessions a week to deliver practical nature conservation work. This includes delivery of a health & wellbeing focused session, TCV’s Green Gym & a weekly Biodiversity Action Team activity.

Additionally, you’ll plan & deliver nature themed community engagement events, which may include activities like leading citizen science sessions, nature themed arts & crafts or nature walks.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a brand-new project, in a world-famous location. The post holder will have the close support of the team & other experienced local TCV staff, however we’re looking for someone who’s experienced enough to hit the ground running & deliver outstanding outcomes for both people & nature.

We are happy to consider any reasonable adjustments that candidates may need during the recruitment process, and you will be asked whether you require any during your application. If you would like to discuss your requirements further please contact the People Team via recruitment@tcv.org.ukor by telephone on 01302 388883 . We also offer reasonable adjustments on the job.

*A full manual driving licence is not essential but desired

* This post is subject to an enhanced CRC check

* Applications by application form only
