Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, 5 days a week (minimum 2 days in the office)

Main Purpose of Job

The Senior Project Manager SMA is part of the O&M department within the Offshore Renewables business, responsible for overseeing the O&M package of the Windanker project, reporting to the Lead Project Manager. The role involves managing the post-FID phases to ensure operational readiness, including control of the Service and Maintenance Agreement (SMA), monitoring OPEX, ensuring all contracts are in place, recruiting the site team, and developing operational processes and tools.

The key focus is providing technical support during SMA negotiations with the wind turbine supplier, especially on technical schedules, RFIs, and logistics strategy.

Key Tasks
  • Ensure project requirements meet health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Assist in SMA negotiations focusing on technical aspects.
  • Organize negotiation meetings, follow up actions, and meet milestones.
  • Update and draft SMA technical schedules, identify risks, and escalate issues.
  • Obtain RFIs to develop OPEX forecasts and logistics strategies.
  • Develop BoP contracting strategy in collaboration with Purchasing and project teams.
  • Support development of the overall O&M strategy.
  • Gather lessons learned from operational projects for continuous improvement.
  • Perform project management activities such as reporting, planning, risk, and resource management.
Key Criteria
  • Self-organized workload management with clear objectives.
  • Timely updates and strategic proposals on technical schedules.
  • Contribute to SMA contract finalization and RFIs.
  • Provide recommendations and regular updates to senior management.
  • Participate in weekly O&M team meetings and SMA negotiations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Offshore Wind O&M and experience with multimillion-pound contracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multicultural teams.
  • Understanding of H&S legislation relevant to offshore operations and electrical generation.
  • Experience managing interfaces across multiple locations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in organizing meetings, minute-taking, and action follow-up.
  • Understanding organizational structures and differentiation between corporate, construction, and operational phases.
Desirable
  • Minimum five years offshore wind experience or relevant discipline.
  • Offshore wind experience preferred.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.
Key Interfaces

Maintain communication with internal teams such as Principal Project Manager O&M, Asset Integrity, Commercial, H&S, GTS, and site managers, as well as construction teams.

Certifications to Maintain
  • GWO, Offshore Medical, HUET, BOSIET, CSCS, SMSTS, other as specified.
