Binnies an RSK Group Company is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join our Water Services team to support our expanding workload within the water industry. Our team consults, delivers and manages projects in the water industry. We support a flexible base location with opportunities for home working, office working or a mixture of both.

Alongside our AMP8 frameworks for Anglian Water, Severn Trent Water, Southern Water, Thames Water and United Utilities, we are currently delivering high profile SRO projects such as SESRO for Thames Water and Lincs and Fens SRO for Anglian Water, Our growing project portfolio brings together civil, process and MEICA engineering alongside network modelling, environmental assessment and nature-based solutions, to address key water industry challenges.

The Project Manager will be accountable for the planning and execution of our projects to the defined scope, cost and programme to meet our Client’s requirements. They will also engage with clients and implement resource management strategy to drive successful framework delivery.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan, execute, monitor and control projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management for projects varying in revenue.

• Contract management under a variety of framework and standalone contracts

• Understand client performance requirements and develop strategy to deliver value to all parties

• Assess the technical and commercial risk of projects

• Create and review proposals and costings for new projects or expanded scope

• Implement resource management strategy for professionals across multiple projects and programmes

• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, and drive innovation and efficiencies into project delivery

• Coach and mentor professionals including performance management, career planning and leaning and development

• Communicate effectively with internal and external clients, colleagues and stakeholders to develop relationships

The role is suitable for an individual with a proven track record in Project Management of engineering professional services. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Professional qualification in Project Management and/or an engineering discipline

• Leadership skills to manage project teams and create positive change

• Understanding of consultancy commercial models for both project delivery and tender development

• Knowledge of programme management using Microsoft Project or other suitable software

• Proactive approach to problem solving as an individual and as part of a team with a desire to find a solution

• Demonstrated customer-facing success in project management and effective client relationship management

• Demonstrable experience of working in water or a transferable sector.
