Job summary

Egis UK is seeking a Project Manager to oversee civil infrastructure projects across sectors, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to high standards. The role involves working on NEC3/4 contracts, collaboration with QS and multidisciplinary teams, and active involvement from bid through handover.

This hybrid Midlands-based position offers growth toward chartership and sector mobility. You will engage with clients, manage risks, and drive governance and reporting, with travel to client sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Experience in Civil Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Working towards Membership of a chartered body such as APM at MAPM.
  • Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirable.
  • Experience with NEC3-4 contracts (A-C-E).
  • Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Administer NEC3/4 contracts (Options A, C & E) from the client side.
  • Support budget control, forecasting, and defined cost planning.
  • Collaborate with QS teams on monthly valuations and payment certificates.
  • Assist in drafting contractual communications (EWNs, CE notifications, etc.).
  • Conduct initial scope planning and feasibility assessments.
  • Assist in preparation of tender documentation and evaluation of submissions.
  • Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies.
  • Engage early with contractors during design phases.
  • Monitor project progress, cash flow, and expenditure.
  • Support delivery through change management and variation handling.
  • Participate in dispute resolution and final account preparation.
  • Ensure appropriate record keeping and contract compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and best practice.
  • Maintain project databases, visuals, and supporting collateral.
  • Contribute to internal reporting, governance, and delivery reviews.

Role Responsibilities:
Contract & Commercial Delivery

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree qualification in a numeric degree
  • Experience in Civil Infrastructure Engineering
  • Working towards Membership of a chartered body such as APM at MAPM.
  • Valid CSCS card; Water Hygiene Card desirable
  • An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts (A-C-E must have)
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • This role is subject to a client interview and acceptance
  • This role is 3 or 4 days in the client's office (Midlands)
